In Indiana I have found this species along a roadside, so close I could have take decent photos from the car window. Surveyor's tape marked the location for some sort of digging about to happen and I haven't been back since to see if the station still exists. On the same day this orchid was in bloom (July 20), we also found Platanthera flava flava and Platanthera peramoena not too far away, but it quite different habitat, of course.Petehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09738292476743125323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7022216829037318291.post-9964719345664058422011-01-05T16:45:35.661-05:002011-01-05T16:45:35.661-05:00Thanks for the kinds words, guys! Thanks for the kinds words, guys!Andrew Lane Gibsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01555125434346996812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7022216829037318291.post-79618235780394676142011-01-04T14:52:37.419-05:002011-01-04T14:52:37.419-05:00Thanks for the time transport back to summer! I didn't realize there were so many species of orchid. It must be fun to hunt down and find these plants.J.T. Crankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10217889511479016086noreply@blogger.com
